Perimenopause can cause a lot of confusing symptoms. Hormonal fluctuations can lead to a variety of changes, including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, bloating, water retention, and insomnia, along with feelings of grief, sadness, and loss. Many women report experiencing brain fog and feeling like they no longer know who they are. Yoga therapy can help support women through perimenopause. Here’s my go-to pranayama for hot flashes: Sitali is an easy pranayama to incorporate into your day, regardless of your physical location. The first step is to curl your tongue and drop your chin. As you raise your chin, inhale through your curled tongue. At the top of the inhale, close your right nostril and exhale through your left nostril. Repeat as many times as you like. This variation is an excellent option if you need to beat the heat fast! #myvinyasapractice #atxyoga #selfcare #pranayama #breatheandletgo
