hey there, so i know this person who when i say im buying/want to buy something they seem to ask me every single time “why do you want that?” or “what are you buying that for?”. recently this has started to infuriate me, am i in the wrong for getting angry over this? when i call out the behaviour i get the response of “im only asking” its like a recording being played over and over again and im getting more and more irritated everytime it happens.
Occasionally theyll throw in a “joke” about what im buying, for example the only reason im writing this up is because it happened today, i wanted some duct tape and i got the response “what do you want that for? are you tying someone up? are you going to rape someone?” like wtf is that? and ofc when i didnt give whatever reaction they were looking for i got the “i was only joking” in the tone that makes me out to be the pos.
