How often is it normal to feel deep sadness on a daily/weekly basis?

I realise everyone is different, but I’m on a healing journey and can’t figure out whether the amount of sadness I feel is an issue or just an indication that I’m healing or just _normal_ for some people.

For reference, I experience deep sadness almost every other day (which is definitely an improvement from all the time) but trying to understand whether I’m feeling how other people feel, ‘normal’ or if there’s still healing to do.
