So, my (23F) mom asked me for 15k and I ofcourse gave it to her. But after a few days when I asked her to pay me back as I am still a student and have no job, she said ofcourse just a bit later. Then days went by and then months. Everything she would say later. It actually started to feel a bit disrespectful as I really don't like asking for money, but being noosed around is kind of demeaning. But I said nothing coz it's my mom. Then today, I just lost my temper and actually confronted her. She started crying and blaming me that lending money to your parents is actually a good thing and I should not go around asking it back. Inwas furious
She Then started crying and went ahead tonswear on my dead grandma that she will never again ask me any money
Now in Indian culture, it's the kids duty to look after their parents in their old age
And of course I would do that gladly once I get a job
But she just doesn't understand that I am still a student. And then she threw the money at my face and said she just wants to be rid of the burden of me asking her money.
I dont understand. Am I wrong?
