How to deal with intense hyperfixation?

I’ve had this reoccurring hyperfixation for years now, this is the only time I’ve actively been trying to avoid it. I try to bottle it up around people because it’s the only thing I’m interested in talking about. My brain won’t stop thinking about it constantly, I’ve been getting like three hours of sleep a night and have no appetite at all. I feel physically sick from it. It’s driving me insane. I spent two hours ranting to ChatGPT about it, and I don’t even like AI. It’s only because I don’t want to bombard people with information who, reasonably, don’t care at all. I start a summer class tomorrow and I’m worried this is going to screw up my focus with it (happened before). There is also no community who share the same interest, trust me. Does anybody have this problem, and is there anything I can do about it?
