Sit in Padmasana, or as us mere mortals call it, the lotus position. Then, use your right thumb to tightly close your right nostril. Breathe in slowly and silently for four seconds. Imagine breathing so smoothly that even a feather wouldn’t move. Keep your facial muscles relaxed and your eyes gently closed or half-open. Now, hold that breath for 16 seconds while closing your left nostril with your ring finger and little finger, keeping the right nostril shut. Then, open your right nostril and exhale slowly and silently for eight seconds, still without moving that feather. That’s one cycle of pranayama. Repeat this four times in a row. Do this in the morning, at noon, in the evening, and at midnight. At first, use a clock to time yourself. After a month, you can count seconds by your heartbeat or by chanting OM mantras to yourself. One second equals one OM. When inhaling, imagine a golden cloud flying into your body from above. As you hold your breath, visualize it moving down your spine. When you exhale, picture it exiting through your tailbone. Visualize your body from the inside and outside vividly. #live #cherishmoments #growthmindset #meditation #breathexercise #pranayama #yogalife #growthmindset #wellbeeing #mindfulness #clairvoyance #spiritualawakening #spirituality #stressreliever #wellness
