I told my therapist my mother used to abuse me a decade ago (she’s been chill ever since and we have made amends) and since my therapist is a mandated reporter, she said she’s going to have to report that since I have younger brothers still living at home. I don’t want CPS to come to my house or anything, especially when my mother’s bedridden from a long-term illness atm and the abuse happened over a decade ago. What will happen now? Can my therapist find out where I live and send CPS my way?
